Chevrolet Performance SuperMatic 6L80-E Transmissions

Chevrolet Performance developed the new SuperMatic 6L80-E 6-speed automatic transmissions with upgraded internal components, offering an exceptional torque rating of 650 lbs.-ft. That’s a 45 percent increase over regular-production versions of this same transmission. A deep first gear enables strong launch performance, while the top gear supports balanced performance on the highway. They’re for use with Chevrolet Performance LS and LSX crate engines in RWD applications.

SuperMatic 6L80-E transmissions feature:

* 3,000 to 3,400 stall converter
* Electro/hydraulic controls with clutch-to-clutch shifting
* Output torque rating of 650 lbs.-ft.
* Gear ratios: 4.02 (1st), 2.36 (2nd), 1.53 (3rd), 1.15 (4th), 0.85 (5th), 0.67 (6th)
* Lightweight diecast aluminum case contributes to dry weight of approximately 195 lbs.
* Uses DEXRON VI premium fluid
* Truck-style production oil pan
* Production vent tube assembly
* Approximately 23.5 in. long
* Controller and harness, with calibrations for street and track
* Harness also includes paddle-shift connection, transmission bulkhead connector that supports aftermarket gear indicator displays, electronically controlled shifters, and more
* Chevrolet Performance-specific design includes provisions for an aftermarket transmission cooler, including -6 AN fittings
